MEET THE OWNER

Ruby Collins has been decorating and throwing events for 25 years. She started this journey as a PTO (Parent-Teacher Organization) officer, cooking Chili for an annual event which hosted over 900 people at Howell Valley School. Catering this event for several years led Ruby to plan themed Teacher Appreciation Dinners for the Howell Valley Faculty and Staff. From there, she was asked to cater other events and weddings. She then started using her decorating and catering hobby as a way to pay for college. After earning her degree in Teaching, Ruby was selected to serves as a class sponsor which put her in charge of many school events. Even though teaching was her main priority, Ruby still enjoyed decorating and catering events a little more. She has always dreamed of having her own business! In March 2015, that dream finally came true and Rubydoo’s Vintage Events was opened.
